InterAcct Sales Quoting Software

Within the InterAcct system, there are no less than six different ways in which you can create a customer quotation.  Three of these quoting methods relate to the Job Costing system, with the other three associated with straight Products & Services quotes.

Of course, the typical precursor to preparing a quotation is to register the sales enquiry, and possibly prepare a Cost Estimate first.  The Job Cost Estimate would show what the quoted price should be, but there is no compulsion to quote that same value.

Within the InterAcct Job Costing system, two of the quoting methods are associated with Cost Estimating – both “Quick” estimates, and Detailed Estimating.  There is also a third job quoting method that is completely separate to job costing estimating, and can be linked to the job’s Budget.

Within each of these three job quoting methods, there is also the ability to select with Print Format you would like for your quotation.  Those print formats include –

• Detailed by individual Cost Item (materials, labour, sub contractor trades, equipment hire, and sundries). 
• Summaries by Phase of Works, or by Cost Groups, or a Quote Total
• Line by Line (Headings and up to five lines of text, plus financial details)

The emphasis is to make preparing a quote very easy for non technical people, and on dramatically reducing the time it takes to prepare a professional looking quotation (to be emailed or mailed).

In each case, you can add free format text to your quote (say as the opening paragraph), and select from your library of standard quote clauses, plus have your standard Terms and Conditions.

There are also another three options within InterAcct for preparing a (non job) related quotation for Products and Services.  Two of these allow you to automatically convert the quote into a Sales Order/Invoice, or indeed analyse it as a Lost Sale.
So the visual appearance can be altered dramatically depending on which quote method and print format you select for your quotation.  InterAcct quotations are Very flexible.

Now, by using the Jaspereports (Jasper Reports), you can dramatically change the appearance and graphics of your quotation – without the normally high cost of software modifications.  See an example below.  Colours, logos, and the graphics can all be personalised to suit your requirements.
