InterAcct is a full integrated business and accounting system with an effective point of sale system. The I-POS point of sale software module offers a comprehensive retail point of sale system combined with a strong back end system for purchasing and sales/profit analysis. The focus is on speed of data input, accuracy, and simplicity. InterAcct’s I-POS point of sale software system is designed for high volume retail cash sales – typically where there are point of sale terminals, cash drawers, bar code scanners, weighing scales, and EFTPOS. The three main areas of the I-POS point of sale software relate to the Set Up of the Operator’s security levels, the front counter entry of a cash sale, and the Back Office purchasing, stock control, and sales analysis. The Point of Sale screen is simple to use, and is ideally set up for Touch Screen operation, Bar Code Scanning, and Weighing Scales. Product item search is available by entering the first few letters of a product code, a description, or by Product Group. The selling unit of measure can be easily amended, and the selling price can be changed also (normally with Password approval). The keyboard and numeric keypad can be used, or an On-Screen keyboard can be used with the point of sale software. Normally sales are to Cash Sale customers, but you can also sell to an Account Customer. The account balance is displayed, along with their discount percentage. With the InterAcct point of sale system, sales can be paused, saved, and later recalled. Stock returns are permitted. Upon completing the sale, payment can be by Cash, EFTPOS, Cheque, Gift Voucher, or an Account Customer. For cash receipts, there is a “Quick Cash” system of selecting the notes given, or selecting from one of the likely total amounts. Change is calculated automatically. At any time you can do a Till Reconciliation of what notes/coins should be there, and the total held. You can also perform a Cash Out. A handy feature of the I-POS point of sale system is defining a User’s settings - you can determine their access level, the set up of their Cash Drawer, whether they are Right or Left handed, and their permissions. You can do Price and Stock Holding Checks, and see whether it is subject to GST, or can be discounted. When receiving new stock, the last cost information is updated, and the new sell price calculated for a variety of selling units of measure. The selling prices can be changed by a Markup %, Margin %, or as a Price $ amount. Each sales line is recorded at the Cash Register in detail. It can be operated offline from the computer server in times when there is no connection available, meaning minimal downtime. When sales information is updated to the Server, Sales/Profit Analysis by Day and Week is shown by Product Item & Group. Given the most detailed data is stored in the point of sale software, there are many options available for further analysis to show trends. The point of sale system’s standard files, fields, menus and reports can all be personalised to suit individual requirements. |
